I would like to do a couple of things:
1)Change the text of “Leave a Reply” to “Leave a Comment”
2)Change the text of the box asking for their name when users attempt to leave a comment. At the moment this says “Name (Required)” and I would like to change this to “First name only – required and will be published”

As you suggest the second thing looks far more complicated and well beyond me. On reflection I am going to moderate any comments by editing the user name so it will be more anonymous.
