What is de proper way to create a child theme of the iconic pro theme in order to allow updates of the theme not to damage any changes?
You can download the starter child theme from here:
If you are only going to make small CSS changes then use the custom.css and backup custom.css before every update.
Yet another way would be to use a plugin like this
