    All saved theme settings will remain as it is.

    I just followed the instructions you gave to upgrade. After completing the upgrade, and activating the new Iconic theme, all of my widgets, etc., were all reset. Is this expected?

    Widgets sometimes needs resetting after theme updates but no data should be lost.
    Another way is to replace new version via ftp – this method should retain widgets.
