Widgets using Plugins – live customizer no longer works?

I’m still fairly new to whole website design and html and am using a lot of plugins. I would like to include a countdown in my sidebar. I did so using a plugin and everything appeared to be working well until I went back in to adjust something and the live customizer no longer works. I removed the widget and everything worked again. I tried using a different plugin and the same thing happened – the countdown appeared in my sidebar but I could no longer use the live customizer until I deleted the widget from my sidebar. Is Iconic One Pro not compatible with plugins for widgets?
