Permalink changed to postname, pagination not working

    When i change the permalink structure to postname the pagination stops working.
    Going to the next page gives a blank page.
    Any way to fix the pagination?

    aah it was a plugin messing things up , i was using it to allow periods in the page permalink. Had to disable it to get the pagination working but now i can’t use periods in as my post name which is a must for me.
    Any idea how i can achieve that?
