    ok but I want to eliminate the public eye, but also wanted to know if the search engines will not see those tags

    As you are removing it from the source code they won’t be visible even to the search engines.

    Tip: Instead of removing them by editing source you can also manage/delete tags by going to Dashboard -> Posts -> Tags
