Add header image

Hi, how can I add header image and what are the appropriate size for it?

Header image option is in live customizer. Width must be 1040px, height can be your choice.

Hi, that does not solve anything. I want to add header and logo should overlay it.

At present moment, there is only choice between logo and header. Are we not able to add both?

Yes, only one at a time, another option is given below:

If you want logo along with background then:

Upload logo in customizer and use custom css like this

.site-header {
background-image: url(“http://yoursite.com/wp-content/uploads/imagename.jpg” );
}

this type of background usually works best with pattern type images for eg.
from subtlepatterns.com as it is not responsive.
