follow-up to my prior post:
perhaps the problem is the name of the css file for my child theme:
1) in your post (and in iconic-one style.css comments) you refer to custom.css
2) in WP Codex about child themes (referenced above) the css file in the child theme folder is referred to as style.css
Am I missing something here?
